No. 12-AProhibiting the dissemination of materially deceptive audio or visual media in local elections.IntroductionThis bill would require disclosure to the Campaign Finance Board when candidates for local elected office or entities making local-election-related independent expenditures create political materials or advertisements when those materials use synthetically generated (i.e. created or modified using AI) content. The person or entity making these political materials must not remove provenance data, a kind of metadata describing the type of generative tool used to create the materials and when such materials were made, from those materials. Once those materials are made, that provenance data or a description of the origins of the materials must be disclosed to the Campaign Finance Board, which must publish that information online. Int 0951-2026 *Shanel Thomas-Henry   Preventing policymakers and their relatives from trading on prediction markets using insider information.IntroductionThis bill would ban elected officials and other high-ranking New York City officials from making bets on events in prediction markets when they hold insider information about the event. It also prevents close relatives of those officials from making bets on those events. The bill would also require that officials annually disclose any transaction over $50 that they make on prediction markets and would require the Conflicts of Interest Board to promulgate rules clarifying when any other actions with respect to prediction markets by a government official would violate existing general conflicts of interest provisions.   Not available Not available
