Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Edwards-Barton House located at 3742 Richmond Road, Staten Island, Designation List No. 328, LP-2093 (L.U. No. 1165; 20025006 HKR; N 020009 HKR).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on July 5, 2001 a copy of its designation dated June 26, 2001 (the "Designation"), of the Edwards-Barton House, located at 3742 Richmond Road (aka 3738-3742 Richmond Road, 4 Court Place), Borough of Staten Island as a landmark and Block 4441, Lot 1 in part as its landmark site, pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;
WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on August 16, 2001 its report on the Designation dated August 8, 2001 (the "Report");
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on October 2, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;
RESOLVED:
Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
