A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to requiring the approval of new construction plans before the demolition of an existing building in the special bay ridge district.

 

Be it enacted by the Council as follows:

 

                     Section 1. Article 14 of subchapter one of chapter one of title 27 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 27-167.1 to read as follows:

                     §27-167.1  Special bay ridge district.  It shall be unlawful to commence work for which a demolition permit is required within the special bay ridge district established under chapter 4 of article XI of the zoning resolution of the city of New York until the department has issued a permit pursuant to article eleven of this chapter.

                     §2. This local law shall take effect immediately after its enactment into law.
