THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK RESOLUTION NO. 618 Title Resolution affirming the modification of an existing designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the former 30th Police Precinct Station House (originally 32nd Police Precinct Station House), located at 1854 Amsterdam Avenue (Block 2083/Lot 35), Manhattan, Designation List No. 339, LP-2121 (L.U. No. 301; 20035050 HKM; N 030112 HKM). Body By Council Members Katz and Felder WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on August 23, 2002 a copy of its modification of the designation dated August 13, 2002 (the "Designation"), of the (former) 30th Police Precinct Station House (originally the 32nd Police Precinct Station House), located at 1854 Amsterdam Avenue, Community District 7, Borough of Manhattan as a landmark and Block 2083/Lot 35 (originally the designated site comprised of Block 2083/Lot 33 but was subsequently split into Lots 33 and 35) as its landmark site, pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on October 22, 2002 its report on the Designation dated October 16, 2002 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on November 26, 2002; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation. _________ Adopted.
