THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 1287

 

Resolution approving the leasing of a parcel of land and the Nurses Residence consisting of 99,000 square feet on the Campus of Sea View Hospital Rehabilitation Center and Home (20065113 HHR; L.U. No. 642), Staten Island.

 

By Council Members Katz and Felder

 

                           WHEREAS, the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, filed with the Council on November 22, 2005 notice of the Board of Directors authorization dated November 18, 2005 of the leasing agreement to the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty and the Arker Companies of a 3.6 acre parcel of land and the Nurses Residence consisting of approximately 99,000 square feet on the campus of Sea View Hospital Rehabilitation Center and Home, Community District 2, Borough of Staten Island, upon terms and conditions set forth in the Health and Hospitals Corporation resolution authorizing the leasing, a copy of which is attached hereto (the "Leasing");

 

                           WHEREAS, the Leasing is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 7385(6) of the Health and Hospitals Corporation Act;

 

                           WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Leasing on December 5, 2005; and

 

                           WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use and financial implications and other policy issues relating to the Leasing;

 

RESOLVED:

 

                           Pursuant to Section 7385(6) of the Health and Hospitals Corporation Act, the Council approves the Leasing upon the terms and conditions set forth in the Board of Directors’ resolution authorizing the Leasing, a copy of which is attached hereto.
