Int 1615-2019 *Mark Treyger  Teacher retention reporting requirement and task force.IntroductionThis bill would require the Department of Education (DOE) to report data to the Council concerning teacher retention and turnover. This bill would also require DOE to post data on each school’s website concerning teacher retention at each school. A task force would then be convened to analyze this data and issue a report with recommendations to address the issue. The task force would dissolve after it issues the report, but the reporting requirement would remain in place indefinitely.   Action details Not available
Int 2058-2020 *Public Advocate Jumaane Williams  Requiring the DOE to report on remote learning attendance.IntroductionThis bill would require the Department of Education (DOE) to publicly post on its website on a monthly basis student attendance data during the use of remote learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Remote Learning can occur synchronously with real-time teacher-to-student interaction and collaboration, or asynchronously, with self-paced learning activities that take place independently of the teacher. The data would be disaggregated by school, school district, grade, ethnicity and a number of other factors.   Action details Not available
