THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

RESOLUTION NO. 2316

Resolution affirming the designation by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Herman A. and Malvina Schleicher House, located at 11-41 123^rd Street (Block 3997, Lot 40), Borough of Queens, Designation List No. 420, LP321; L.U. No. 1292; 20105203 HKQ; N 100137 HKQ).

WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on November 2, 2009 a copy of its designation dated October 20, 2009 (the "Designation"), of the Herman A. and Malvina Schleicher House located at 11-41 123^rd Street, Community District 7, Borough of Queens, as an historic landmark and Block 3997, Lot 40 as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter;

WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter;

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on December 3, 2009 its report on the Designation dated December 2, 2009 (the "Report");

WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on December 17, 2009; and

WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation;

RESOLVED:

Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
