Chin Posting of a performance summary card for social adult day cares.IntroductionThis bill would require the New York City Department for the Aging (DFTA) to issue a performance summary card to all social adult day cares (SADCs) operating in the city, which the SADC would be required to post at or near its entrance. The performance summary card would contain information about the SADC’s compliance with SADC regulations and standards, as well as any penalties imposed on the SADC pursuant to local law. Int 1519-2017 *Karen Koslowitz Supplemental nutrition assistance program enrollment and recertification for seniors.IntroductionThis bill requires the Department of Social Services to coordinate with the Department for the Aging to increase awareness of SNAP through a public campaign targeted at seniors and their caregivers. The bill also requires the Department of Social Services, in coordination with the Department for the Aging, to establish and implement a SNAP enrollment and recertification program. The program must ensure that SNAP enrollment and recertification programming is taking place at all senior centers in the City. In addition, the bill requires the Department of Social Services to provide an annual report to the Council on the department’s public campaign and SNAP enrollment and recertification activity for seniors as well as provide the Council with data on senior SNAP enrollment and recertification.   Action details Not available
